Scope
Middle node of ai-governance-framework-crosswalk chain (art-174→175→176). GPAI (General-Purpose AI) obligations under the EU AI Act became enforceable Aug 2 2025; Commission enforcement started Aug 2 2026. Art. 53 applies to all GPAI providers; Art. 55 adds systemic-risk obligations for models trained on >10^25 FLOPs or designated as systemic-risk.
